Chaque utilisateur de l’Internet est identifié, sur les réseaux, par un numéro à plusieurs chiffres, également appelé adresse IP (pour Internet Protocol). Par exemple : 128.263.36.45. Et seuls les fournisseurs d’accès (Orange, Free…) peuvent savoir qui est la personne derrière chaque adresse IP. Cette information était considérée comme personnelle et confidentielle.

  1. Yeah that’s the error. It reads something like this:

    Every internet user is identified, on the network, by an number comprised of several parts, called an IP(Internet Protocol) address? For example 128.263.36.47. Only the ISPs (i.e. Orange, Free, …) can know who the person behind each IP address is. Such information is considered personal and confidential.

    The french might indeed overestimate the capacity of a byte, or perhaps they demanded and received special bytes at the latest strike. Perhaps we can fence of IPv6 a bit longer with these special bytes. I’m up for it
